The Safe Centre of Peel is a safe and welcoming space where many agencies work together at one location. We offer support and compassionate care to adults, children and youth affected by abuse and violence in Peel. All services at the Safe Centre of Peel and the Child and Youth Advocacy Program are free of charge.

Female Mobile Support

These confidential, 24-hour phone lines offer someone immediate to talk to, crisis counselling, support and information for support allies (i.e. parents, partners or friends of survivors), safety planning, information on victim police reporting and medical options, and strategies for coping with flashbacks, memories and feelings.

Service offers French-speaking women experiencing gender-based violence, support, information and referrals to appropriate services in their community 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Spectra Helpline is a non-profit, multicultural organization providing free, caring and confidential distress lines and support services in several languages for the diverse population of the Region of Peel and surrounding area. Helpline has expanded to include distress line and crisis intervention support in various other languages in addition to English, as well as for people with disabilities and the LGBT community. The centre launched distress lines in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu in 2005, Spanish in 2007, Portuguese in 2009.? Mandarin and Cantonese distress lines are the latest additions.

A part of the Al-Anon Family Groups, is a fellowship of young people (mostly teenagers between the ages of 12 to 20 years) whose lives have been affected by someone elses drinking whether they are in your life drinking or not. By attending Alateen, teenagers meet other teenagers with similar situations. Alateen is not a religious program and there are no fees or dues to belong to it.

The Dam is a community program for youth (13-19yrs). All teens are welcome, free of charge, to come to the drop-in and participate in the programs. The drop-in provides a positive, healthy, encouraging, and neutral turf environment that is drug-free and alcohol-free.

A free, anonymous and confidential 24-hour telephone and TTY crisis telephone line to all women in the province of Ontario who have experienced any form of abuse. We provide crisis counselling, safety planning, emotional support, information and referrals accessible 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Requirements:  Work with both parents; there is an Application fee of $150. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid prior to the intake interview. There is also a $30 per 2-hour visit fee, $20 per 1 hour visit fee, and $15 per one- or two-way exchange; must provide all court documents, including all materials re custody and access; any assessment reports; disclosure re criminal charges; disclose any CAS involvement; visits are structured i.e. Weekly/biweekly.

A world-wide fellowship of recovering addicts which offers addicts a Twelve-Step recovery program adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous.

12-Step Program designed to help overcome hurts, hang-ups and addictive habits. This weekly gathering provides support and accountability as you learn to take responsibility for your personal recovery by applying Biblically based 12 Step, and 8 Recovery Based Principles.

Serves youth (14-24yrs) with substance use/abuse issues; will meet clients on/off site (i.e.: community centers, schools, etc.); provides one to one counselling; provides group sessions on an as-needed basis; offers educational presentations to community and social service agencies.

Peel Access to Housing (PATH), is the central access point for people who apply for subsidized housing in Peel.
